What I found when we looked closer
Manheim Township was established in 1729 and is Lancaster County's second-largest municipality after the city of Lancaster, which it borders to the south. It includes Neffsville, Dillerville, and Landis Valley, and runs from dense suburban neighborhoods to working farmland.
That range, plus a shared border with the county's main city, gives investigators a steady flow of cases to work through.
In their words
The feedback I'm getting from my detectives on the product during the free trial has been nothing but positives.
Andrew DobishLieutenant · Manheim Township Police DepartmentFollowing one report through the building
The first thing we do with a new department is trace where a report goes after the officer hits submit. Here, it passes through 4 hands:
- 1Patrol officer
- 2Sergeant
- 3Criminal investigations
- 4Lancaster County district attorney
Every one of those readers needs the same facts from the first draft. That is what shaped what we built.
What we built for them
Investigators can search footage and transcripts across a case instead of re-watching hours of video.
What we're watching
These are the signals that will tell us whether it's working here:
- Investigator time to locate key statements
- Cases assembled without re-watching full footage
Figures on this page come from the department's own published materials. We only publish Code Four results after the department reviews them.
