What I found when we looked closer
High Point Police Department’s 2025 annual report shows a department working through a meaningful violent-crime and gun-case workload. The department reported 441 violent-crime reports in 2025, while detective AI tools investigated five criminal homicides. The same release says officers seized more than 440 firearms and submitted 660 entries into the National Ballistic Information Network. Those are not abstract statistics; they point to a reporting environment where patrol officers, detectives, and gun-crime investigators need documents that can move quickly and hold detail.
That is the pressure point for this partnership. If the first report is weak, the detective handoff slows down immediately.
Following one report through the building
